Membership Categories


Membership in the Society is divided into four categories (Regular Member, Institutional Member, Supporting Member, and Honorary Member). The eligibility requirements for each category are as follows:

 Regular Member: Individuals who support the purposes of the Society and meet one of the following qualifications may apply:
  • Graduates of relevant graduate institutes (domestic or international);
  • Graduates of four-year university programs (domestic or international) in relevant fields with at least two years of professional experience;
  • Graduates of junior colleges or equivalent institutions in relevant fields with at least four years of professional experience;
  • Individuals with at least eight years of practical experience in disaster prevention and emergency management;
  • Individuals with equivalent academic or professional qualifications as recognized by the Board of Directors.

  • Honorary Member
    • Individuals who have made outstanding contributions to disaster prevention and emergency management, or who have provided significant service to the Society, and who are nominated by at least two Directors or Supervisors and approved by the Board of Directors.

  • Institutional Member
    • Public or private institutions or organizations that support the purposes of the Society.

    Supporting Member
    • Organizations or individuals who provide financial or other forms of support to the Society
