Rights and Obligations
Membership Information
The rights and obligations of members are governed by Articles 9 and 10 of the Society’s Constitution.
Article 9
- Members have the right to vote, to stand for election, to be elected, and to exercise recall.
- Each Regular Member is entitled to one vote; each Institutional Member is entitled to two votes.
- Supporting Members and Honorary Members do not possess the above rights.
Article 10
- Members are obligated to comply with the Constitution, resolutions of the Society, and to pay membership dues.
- Members who fail to pay their dues may not exercise membership rights. Members who fail to pay dues for two consecutive years shall be deemed to have withdrawn automatically.
- Members who have withdrawn, resigned, or been suspended and wish to apply for reinstatement must settle any outstanding dues unless there are justified reasons.
(Note: Members who choose to pay five years of annual dues in a single payment may receive a NT$500 discount, paying NT$4,500 in total, in accordance with the resolution of the 5th Board and Supervisors Meeting of the First Term.)
