Special Issue of the Journal of Disaster Management Science and Technology
2026-04-01Special Issue Theme: Compound Disaster Management and Cross-Sector Collaboration Mechanisms
To promote academic exchange and practical dialogue in the field of disaster management, the Journal of Disaster Management Science and Technology, published by the Taiwan Disaster Management Society, is planning a special issue. We sincerely invite submissions of academic research and practical achievements related to compound disaster management and cross-sector collaboration mechanisms. Researchers, practitioners, and professionals in relevant fields are all encouraged to contribute.
In recent years, facing challenges such as extreme climate events, compound disaster risks, increasing social vulnerability, and local governance issues, disaster management has gradually shifted from traditional single-agency response models to governance approaches involving cross-sector, multi-level, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. Cooperation among government agencies, non-governmental organizations, communities, enterprises, volunteer groups, and professional networks plays an increasingly critical role in disaster preparedness, emergency response, livelihood support, and post-disaster recovery. This special issue aims to deepen the accumulation of theoretical, institutional, and practical knowledge in disaster management through related research and case sharing.
